Job summary

AMAERO ADVANCED MATERIAL & MANUFACTURING INC is seeking a Safety & Training Technician to support safety and employee training across manufacturing operations, performing inspections, hazard assessments, and exposure monitoring while promoting safe work practices.

You will deliver task-specific training on metal powder handling, blending, sieving, packaging, and equipment cleaning, maintain records, participate in JHAs/JSAs, and help implement safety programs such as LOTO, machine guarding, and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in manufacturing safety, employee training, occupational health, industrial safety, or a related field.
• Ability to identify workplace hazards and provide hands-on employee training.
• Basic knowledge of OSHA requirements and industrial safety practices.
• Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine safety inspections, observations, and hazard assessments.
• Identify unsafe conditions and work practices and assist with corrective actions.
• Perform personal and area monitoring for airborne powders, dust, particulates, and other workplace contaminants as needed.
• Maintain exposure-monitoring, inspection, and safety documentation.
• Assist with JHAs, JSAs, task-specific risk assessments, and applicable safety programs including LOTO, machine guarding, fall protection, electrical safety, hot work, and emergency preparedness.
• Participate in incident and near-miss investigations and corrective-action follow-up.
• Provide initial, refresher, and task-specific training for Manufacturing Operators and other employees.
• Conduct training related to blending, sieving, powder handling, material transfer, packaging, equipment cleaning, and other manufacturing processes.
• Train employees on metal-powder hazards, combustible dust, static electricity, PPE, housekeeping, exposure controls, and required safe-work practices.
• Reinforce applicable SOPs, SMPs, work instructions, JHAs, JSAs, and safety procedures.
• Support hands-on equipment training and observe employees to verify safe and competent task performance.
• Identify employees requiring additional coaching or retraining.
• Maintain training records, qualification matrices, and competency documentation.
• Support new-hire orientation, toolbox talks, safety alerts, and updates to training materials.
