Job summary

Austin Industrial is seeking a Safety Technician to join our Pasadena, TX team to help maintain a safe work environment in industrial settings. You will conduct safety inspections, monitor PPE usage, provide training, and investigate incidents to ensure compliance with OSHA and CSST standards.

Qualified candidates have 2+ years of Rope-HSE experience, a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work overtime as required in a dynamic industrial environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in Rope-HSE/Safety Technician roles.
• Valid Driver's License.
• CSST certification.
• Meet physical demands as listed.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular safety inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with company safety standards and OSHA regulations.
• Provide guidance on safety procedures and practices to workers and supervisors.
• Assist in the development and implementation of safety policies and programs.
• Monitor the use of PPE and enforce its proper use.
• Investigate safety incidents and accidents, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions.
• Conduct safety training sessions and toolbox talks to improve safety awareness.
• Maintain safety records and reports, ensuring they are up-to-date and compliant with regulatory requirements.
• Respond to safety concerns or emergencies and take appropriate action as needed.
• Other duties assigned.
