Apex Companies is seeking an experienced Occupational Safety Professional to lead and deliver safety projects at client sites, performing shop-floor hazard assessments and risk ranking, and implementing safety programs that improve performance and compliance. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in science or engineering, 7+ years in occupational safety, and skills in data analysis and technical writing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred – ideally in a science or engineering field.
• Minimum 7+ years of experience in occupational safety / employee accident prevention.
• ASP or CSP accreditation desirable.
• Active Secret Security clearance highly preferred (or willingness to obtain).
• Manufacturing/assembly, heavy industry, aerospace/defense or automotive experience a plus.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA concepts and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive occupational safety consulting to clients, including hazard assessments and risk ranking.
• Coordinate and execute safety projects with project managers and stakeholders.
• Design and implement service plans in collaboration with customers and monitor progress.
• Advise clients on occupational safety issues and contribute to business development.
