Job summary

Idaho National Laboratory is seeking an intern to join the Environment, Safety, and Health team on a part-time, on-site basis at the Materials and Fuels Complex in Idaho Falls. You will assist with daily PODs, work orders, and engineering changes, and help identify safety-related issues while gaining hands-on experience.

Minimum qualifications include enrollment in an undergraduate or master's program in ES&H fields, a 3.0 GPA, and authorization to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Enrolled full time in an Undergraduate Degree Program or Master's Degree Program in Occupational Safety/ES&H.
• Minimum overall 3.0 GPA.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. (including CPT/OPT).
• Current resume or CV on file.
• Unofficial transcripts (include current and completed degrees).
• Current class schedule and credits.

Responsibilities

• Research industry safety trends and engage with craftspeople and researchers.
• Contribute to safety culture improvements and assist with daily PODs, work orders, and engineering changes.
• Complete confined space evaluations with updated photos and support fire alarm audible testing by taking sound measurements.
