Job summary

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
• Rising sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate student with plans to return to school after the internship.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist with safety inspections, audits, and workplace hazard assessments.
• Support incident investigations and help identify corrective and preventive actions.
• Participate in Job Safety Analysis (JSA) reviews and risk assessments.
• Assist with maintaining compliance documentation and safety records.
• Help develop and deliver safety communications, training materials, and employee awareness campaigns.
• Support safety observations and employee engagement initiatives.
• Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and EHS committee activities.
• Assist with tracking safety metrics and preparing reports.
• Conduct research on safety best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Support implementation of projects focused on risk reduction and continuous improvement.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
