Job summary

Titan America is seeking a Safety Intern to support the plant Safety team at the Roanoke Cement facility in Troutville, Virginia. This role focuses on industrial safety, MSHA compliance, and continuous improvement within a heavy manufacturing setting.

You will assist with inspections, training coordination, documentation, and cross-functional safety initiatives, gaining hands-on exposure to cement plant operations and safety culture.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in safety or EHS.
• Junior- to senior-year student preferred for degree programs.
• Safety/Engineering discipline with a focus on safety preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with safety inspections, workplace observations, and facility walk-throughs.
• Help identify hazards and communicate potential safety issues.
• Support development and maintenance of JHAs and safe work procedures.
• Assist with safety meetings, toolbox talks, and safety communications.
• Support safety campaigns, audits, and incident tracking.
• Maintain safety records and organize safety-related materials.
