Idaho National Laboratory is seeking an intern to support our Environment, Safety, and Health team. You will support a designated organization, assist with daily PODs, work orders, and engineering changes, and help identify and resolve safety-related issues.
Key responsibilities include researching industry safety trends, engaging with craftspeople and researchers, and contributing to safety culture improvements, complete confined space evaluations with updated photos, and support fire alarm audible testing by taking sound measurements alongside fire protection intern and staff. This internship offers handson experience, practical safety assessment skills, and exposure to realworld operational challenges at INL.
This team works a 4x10 schedule onsite at our Idaho Falls campus. Start date and duration of internship vary based on project and student availability. You may be eligible for course credit for this internship.
While performing the duties of this classification, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, bend, use hands to handle materials, manipulate tools, type on a keyboard, reach with hands and arms, and operate job-related equipment. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds without assistance.
