Job summary

Crawford Mechanical Services, Inc. is seeking a Safety Coordinator to ensure workplace safety and regulatory compliance on industrial mechanical projects. You will conduct inspections, enforce OSHA standards, provide employee training, and work with project teams to minimize risk.

The role is field-based, primarily on-site at industrial sites, with regular travel to job locations. A bachelor’s degree in safety or related field and 3+ years in safety are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or related field preferred.
• OSHA 30 certification required.
• 3+ years in safety coordination, compliance, or construction safety.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA/ANSI standards and hazard prevention strategies.
• Proficiency in safety audit software and compliance tracking tools.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular site safety inspections and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Ensure adherence to OSHA, ANSI, and other safety regulations.
• Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees and contractors.
• Investigate workplace incidents and recommend corrective actions.
• Identify hazards and implement mitigation strategies.
• Enforce proper use of PPE and emergency readiness.
• Develop and implement emergency response procedures and drills.
• Maintain records of inspections, incidents, and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and site supervisors to enforce safety measures.
• Lead toolbox talks and regular safety meetings to reinforce policies.
• Communicate safety updates and concerns to management and workers.
