Job summary

Crawford Mechanical Services in the United States seeks a Safety Coordinator for industrial mechanical projects. You will lead safety inspections, enforce OSHA/ANSI standards, and coordinate training to maintain a culture of safety on site.

Reporting to the Regional Safety Manager, you will collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field personnel to prevent incidents, document corrective actions, and drive continuous safety improvements across multiple states.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field preferred.
• OSHA 30 certification required.
• CSP or CHST certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular site safety inspections and ensure compliance.
• Ensure adherence to OSHA, ANSI, and other industry safety regulations.
• Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees and subcontractors.
• Investigate workplace accidents, document findings, and recommend corrective actions.
• Proactively assess risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Ensure proper use and availability of PPE.
• Develop and implement emergency response procedures and conduct drills.
• Maintain records of inspections, incidents, safety violations, and corrective actions.
• Work with project managers, engineers, and site supervisors to enforce safety measures.
• Conduct toolbox talks and regular safety meetings.
• Maintain clear communication with management and workers regarding safety updates and concerns.
