Metals USA is seeking an Assistant Safety Coordinator for the Langhorne, PA facility. The role focuses on monitoring safety across warehouse and office areas, enforcing health guidelines, and providing training on safety procedures.

Responsibilities include design and execution of safety assessments, incident investigations, and collaboration with HR on onboarding. The position requires OSHA 30-hour certification and leadership in a heavy industrial environment.

Qualifications

• OH&S degree preferred.
• OSHA 30-hour certification completed.
• Experience in health and safety in heavy industrial settings preferred.
• Strong reading and writing in English; ability to read work orders and safety manuals.
• Knowledge of local, state and federal safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Monitors facility safety and enforces health guidelines.
• Trains staff on safety procedures and conducts regular trainings.
• Designs methods to assess safety conditions in the warehouse and office.
• Inspects workspace and equipment for OSHA compliance and safe operation.
• Coordinates with HR for new employee safety onboarding.
• Oversees handling of hazardous materials and machinery safety.
• Assists with accident investigations and implements corrective actions.
• Reports safety issues to management and ensures timely response.
• Oversees PPE provision and ensures proper usage.
