Metals USA is seeking a Production Shift Supervisor for our Ambridge, PA facility, a carbon steel distribution operation serving defense, commercial, construction and fabrication markets.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent with steel service management experience and 5+ years in supervision. A bachelor’s in business management is preferred; OSHA 10 and RSAC training are required. You will lead safety, quality, and productivity initiatives in a high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; steel service management exp preferred.
• Bachelor degree in Business Management preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years as a supervisor in production/manufacturing environment.
• Prior experience with metals service, preferably carbon steel (tubing, beam and plate).
• Experience with safety systems and enforcement of safety rules.
• Ability to interface with all departments to foster a deadline-driven org.
• Strong oral and written communication with internal and external customers.
• Proven analytical, organizational and decision-making skills.
• Professionalism and diplomacy with customers.
• Flexibility to adapt to all workflows and conditions.
• Experience in high-volume, transaction-driven environments.
• OSHA 10 Hour Safety Training Certification required.
• RSAC Reasonable Suspicion Training/Certificate required.
• Must be motivated, results-oriented, with leadership ability.
• MS Office and ERP literacy.

Responsabilités

• Ensure production safety, housekeeping, and training of new hires.
• Lead and develop production workforce to meet quality and schedule goals.
• Oversee receipt and inspection of materials and inventory controls.
• Coordinate inter-department activities for on-time delivery.
• Maintain safe operating conditions and enforce safety culture.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and collective bargaining agreements where applicable.
• Manage material handling, warehousing, and shipping readiness.
• Maintain attendance and enforce company policies and procedures.
• Lead continuous improvement in manpower utilization and productivity.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
