Job summary

Metals USA is seeking an Assistant Safety Coordinator for the Langhorne, PA facility. The role focuses on monitoring safety conditions and enforcing OSHA standards across warehouse, office, and surrounding property.

You will train employees, inspect operations, and support incident investigations to maintain a safe workplace. The position requires leadership in a heavy industrial setting, knowledge of safety guidelines, and completion of OSHA 30-hour and Reliance training.

Qualifications

• Requires Associate or Bachelor’s in Occupational Health & Safety, Safety Management or related field preferred.
• OSHA 30-hour certification required.
• Reliance Steel and Aluminum Reasonable Suspicion Training required.
• Demonstrates knowledge of local, state and federal safety guidelines for the workplace.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills; effective communication and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor working conditions across the facility to ensure OSH compliance.
• Lead safety trainings on a daily/weekly/monthly basis.
• Inspect equipment and workspace for safety compliance and address hazards.
• Investigate incidents and determine root causes; maintain records of safety-related events.
• Coordinate with HR to onboard new employees with safety processes.
• Oversight of safety procedures during material handling and machinery operation.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies and enforce company safety policies.
