Viable Engineering Solutions in Orlando seeks an Industrial Robotics Software Engineer to build automation software that blends C#, computer vision, and robotics systems. You will design interfaces for Fanuc and other 6-axis robots and create tools for sensors and I/O integration.

The role combines software development with robotics, vision, and automation to solve complex manufacturing challenges in a state-of-the-art facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in C# and object-oriented software development.
• Experience with .NET, DI, WPF, and MVVM architecture.
• Experience with Visual Studio and Git.
• Knowledge of linear algebra, trigonometry, and robotics math.
• Experience with 6-axis industrial robots (Fanuc, ABB, KUKA, Yaskawa, or similar).
• Experience with robot motion control, path planning, and collision avoidance.
• Knowledge of machine vision and image processing tools such as OpenCV, Cognex, or Keyence.

Responsibilities

• Develop rapid prototypes and feasibility studies for robotic automation applications.
• Design, develop, test, and support software applications using C#, .NET, WPF, and MVVM.
• Develop software and interfaces for Fanuc and other 6-axis robots.
• Create libraries and APIs for interfacing with sensors, cameras, PLCs, and I/O systems.
• Develop and optimize robotic path planning, motion control, collision avoidance, and offline programming tools.
• Implement computer vision solutions using stereo vision, image processing, and 3D localization.
• Develop calibration processes for robotic cells, tooling, and workpiece positioning.
• Evaluate and validate sensors, vision systems, and motion planning algorithms.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to commission, troubleshoot, and improve automated systems.
