Job summary

Augmentus Robotics is seeking a hands-on Applications Engineer to deploy and integrate industrial robotic systems in manufacturing environments. You will bridge our software platform with real-world production, configuring robots, developing offline programs, commissioning on the shop floor, and supporting go-live and beyond.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on experience programming, deploying, and commissioning industrial robots in manufacturing or systems integration.
• Demonstrated proficiency with at least one offline programming tool such as FANUC ROBOGUIDE, ABB RobotStudio, KUKA.Sim, Yaskawa MotoSim, Delfoi, Robotmaster, or similar.
• Practical experience integrating robots with tooling, sensors, conveyors, PLCs, and safety systems.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot robot mechanics, controller software, I/O, and network communications on the shop floor.
• Familiarity with EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, DeviceNet and basic PLC ladder logic.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for deployments (30-50% travel).
• Strong communication skills to work with operators, maintenance teams, and engineering staff.

Responsibilities

• Program and deploy robotic systems for industrial applications using the Augmentus platform and OEM environments.
• Develop and validate robot programs using offline programming tools before site deployment.
• Configure and integrate robotic hardware, end-of-arm tooling, sensors, PLCs, and ancillary equipment.
• Perform on-site commissioning, fine-tuning, and handover at customer facilities.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and programming issues and document resolutions.
• Support pre-sales activities with proofs-of-concept and offline simulations.
• Collaborate with customers and internal teams to gather requirements and ensure project execution.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and user guides.
• Provide post-deployment training and support.
• Contribute field insights to improve the platform.
