Job summary

Indicon LLC is seeking a motivated Technician/Technologist to support installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of industrial automation systems. You will work with engineers, electricians, and customers on projects across manufacturing, material handling, automotive, and related facilities.

Ideal candidates have hands-on field experience, with or without a four-year degree, and are willing to travel to customer sites for startup and service work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or equivalent preferred.
• 3+ years in manufacturing, automation, or related fields.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Experience using electrical testing equipment such as multimeters.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation, startup, commissioning, and validation of automated control systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical, controls, and automation issues on production lines.
• Perform panel checkout, I/O verification, wiring validation, and system testing.
• Support PLC, HMI, VFD, barcode, scanner, and vision system integration.
• Read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams; verify panel layouts.
• Assist engineers with modifications, upgrades, and improvements.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and equipment inspections.
• Travel to customer facilities for project support and startups.
