Job summary

Indicon LLC is seeking a motivated Technician/Technologist to install, commission, troubleshoot, and maintain industrial automation and control systems. You will work with engineers, electricians, and customers to deliver high-quality automation solutions for manufacturing environments.

The role covers PLC-controlled equipment, control panels, conveyors, vision systems, and tooling. At least 3+ years in related fields and travel readiness are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or technical certification preferred.
• Minimum 3+ years in manufacturing, industrial automation, controls, maintenance, or related technical fields.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring drawings.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation, startup, commissioning, and validation of automated control systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical, controls, and automation issues on production equipment.
• Perform panel checkout, I/O verification, wiring validation, and system testing.
• Support PLC, HMI, VFD, barcode, scanner, and vision system integration activities.
• Read and interpret electrical diagrams, panel layouts, and technical documentation.
• Document troubleshooting actions, startup reports, and corrective actions.
• Travel to customer facilities for project support and service work.
