Job summary

Pacer Group is seeking a Construction Coordinator to support the setup of a battery pack assembly plant. You will coordinate industrial equipment installation and modification projects from scope through installation and commissioning, working with contractors, vendors, and engineers.

The ideal candidate has hands-on robot installation experience, strong project management, and safety expertise. This role requires on-site work in Princeton, Indiana with occasional travel to Georgetown, Kentucky

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor's degree is not required.
• Experience managing large-scale construction or industrial installation projects valued at $5M+.
• Hands-on experience with industrial robot installation and commissioning.
• OSHA 10 certification is required.
• Knowledge of electrical safety practices and arc-flash awareness.
• Experience with contract administration and field order management.
• Ability to coordinate general contractors, subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and internal stakeholders.
• Strong budgeting, scheduling, risk assessment, and safety/regulatory compliance skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to prepare updates for senior leadership.
• On-site work in Princeton, Indiana with occasional travel to Georgetown, Kentucky; weekend/holiday work as needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage equipment installation and modification projects from scope development through contract completion.
• Develop project scopes, equipment specs, and installation requirements for industrial equipment and manufacturing systems.
• Negotiate initial contracts with installation contractors and manage field order negotiations.
• Coordinate installation and commissioning of robots, jig cells, conveyors, AGVs, cooling and exhaust systems, HVAC, lighting, and power distribution.
• Manage general contractors, subcontractors, machine vendors, inspection and testing agencies, and other stakeholders.
• Coordinate activities among contractors, shipping, process engineers, equipment teams, and management.
• Monitor budgets, schedules, resources, and contractor performance for project success.
• Administer construction contracts and conduct on-site inspections for compliance with plans and safety standards.
• Direct and coordinate contractor activities to meet schedules and milestones.
• Oversee installation from delivery through commissioning, validation, and production handoff.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, electrical, and site standards; provide status reports to leadership.
• Document outcomes and lessons learned to support future projects.
