Job summary

Nextaff is seeking an experienced painter to perform high-quality surface preparation, pressure washing, and painting in a secure facility in Leakesville, MS. The role requires 2+ years in commercial, industrial, or residential painting and the ability to meet all MDOC security clearance requirements.

You will prepare surfaces, apply finishes, and operate spray equipment while following strict safety standards and project specifications.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of painting experience in commercial, industrial, or residential settings.
• Experience with pressure washing preferred.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors.
• MDOC background check required; must be eligible to work inside a secure facility.

Responsibilities

• Prepare interior and exterior surfaces for painting.
• Pressure wash commercial, industrial, and residential structures.
• Patch drywall, wood, and concrete surfaces.
• Sand, scrape, caulk, tape, and prime surfaces.
• Apply paint, stains, sealers, and specialty coatings using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
• Operate airless sprayers and painting equipment.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas.
• Follow project specifications and safety requirements.
• Perform work with minimal supervision while delivering quality workmanship.
