Citadel Access Solutions is seeking a dependable Painter to join our production team, focused on preparing, priming, and painting commercial doors, gates, frames, fencing components, and fabricated steel products.

The role collaborates with fabrication, welding, and installation crews to ensure top-quality finishes that meet company standards before delivery or installation. A strong eye for detail and safe shop practices are essential.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of industrial, commercial, automotive, or metal painting experience.
  • Experience using HVLP or conventional spray equipment.
  • Knowledge of primers, epoxies, urethanes, enamels, and industrial coatings.
  • Ability to read work orders and follow specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Comfortable standing, bending, and working in a shop environment throughout the day.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare metal surfaces by grinding, sanding, cleaning, masking, and priming.
  • Apply industrial coatings, primers, paints, and finishes using spray equipment, rollers, and brushes.
  • Match paint colors and ensure consistent finish quality.
  • Inspect finished products for defects, runs, scratches, and imperfections.
  • Operate spray booths and painting equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain paint guns, compressors, hoses, and related equipment.
  • Follow manufacturer specifications for coating thickness and curing times.
  • Assist with loading, unloading, and staging materials.
  • Maintain inventory of paints, solvents, primers, and painting supplies.
  • Keep work areas clean and compliant with OSHA safety standards.
  • Work with production schedules to meet deadlines.
  • Perform touch-up painting on fabricated products as needed.
  • Support other shop operations when painting workload permits.

This position is responsible for preparing, priming, and painting commercial doors, gates, frames, fencing components, and fabricated steel products. The ideal candidate takes pride in producing high-quality finishes while maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

This role works closely with fabrication, welding, and installation teams to ensure finished products meet company quality standards before delivery or installation.
