Job summary

Johnsonville is seeking an experienced Utilities Technician to oversee and maintain plant refrigeration, boilers, HVAC, water systems, and other utility equipment. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot complex issues, and support capital projects under the supervision of the Utilities Leader.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in industrial refrigeration or boiler fields, strong electrical/mechanical skills, and a readiness to obtain required certifications within stated timelines.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or equivalent in industrial maintenance.
• Certification in operator safety and process systems preferred.
• Experience with electrical, mechanical, and plumbing in industrial settings.

Responsibilities

• Operate plant refrigeration, boiler, HVAC, water, and utility systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on plant equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and plumbing issues across systems.
• Assist in developing SOPs and PM systems.
• Maintain plant PSM and HAZMAT programs.
• Maintain Storm Water and Spill Prevention Plans.
• Follow Safe Operating Procedures for repairs.
