Job summary

Trident Seafoods in Alaska is seeking a Refrigeration Operator I to maintain industrial refrigeration systems and assist in scheduled maintenance. You will document inspections, operate plate freezers and chillers, and work closely with QA/QC to keep temperatures within spec.

The role demands 2–3 years of refrigeration experience, a HS diploma, and willingness to obtain RETA CARO and HAZWOPER certifications within a year.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of industrial refrigeration experience (Freon or Ammonia).
• HS Diploma or equivalent, or training in a Refrigeration Technical Program.

Responsibilities

• Operate refrigeration systems following plant operating and maintenance procedures.
• Assist in scheduled Mechanical Integrity Inspections (weekly/monthly/quarterly).
• Maintain daily system logs and documentation.
• Assist in routine service, pre/post season maintenance and repair with senior staff or technicians.
• Assist supervisors in inventory for parts/supplies.
• Train Refrigeration Assistants in day-to-day activities.
• Pursue qualification and certification as a Refrigeration Technician.
