Job summary

Trident Seafoods, a leading Alaska seafood company, seeks a Refrigeration Operator II to maintain and optimize industrial refrigeration systems across our facilities. You will plan preventive maintenance, document inspections, and work with QA/QC to ensure product temperatures meet strict quality standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–6+ years of industrial or commercial refrigeration experience (Freon or ammonia) or 2 years as Refrigeration Operator 1.
• HS Diploma or equivalent, or training in a Refrigeration Technical Program.

Responsibilities

• Operate refrigeration systems following plant procedures.
• Perform scheduled Mechanical Integrity Inspections (weekly/monthly/quarterly).
• Maintain daily system logs.
• Plan/perform routine maintenance and repairs with contractors or Refrigeration Technicians.
• Gather pre/post season parts/supply inventories.
• Train Operator 1s and Refrigeration Assistants.
• Identify issues and escalate per troubleshooting procedures.
• Review technical bulletins, service documents, and schematics.
• Other duties as assigned.
