Job summary

Trident Seafoods is seeking a Refrigeration Operator I to maintain industrial refrigeration systems and related equipment, following procedures and coordinating with QA/QC to maintain product temperatures. You will work on plate, blast, tunnel, and spiral freezers, along with related equipment, under a 24-hour schedule.

The role involves logs, routine maintenance, and collaboration with staff, with opportunities to pursue RETA CARO and HAZWOPER certifications within a year; Alaska employment

Qualifications

Minimum 2–3 years of industrial or commercial refrigeration experience (Freon or Ammonia).
HS Diploma or equivalent, or training in a Refrigeration Technical Program.

Responsibilities

Operate the refrigeration system following plant operating and maintenance procedures.
Participate in Mechanical Integrity inspections (weekly, monthly, quarterly).
Maintain daily system logs and reports.
Assist in routine service, pre/post season maintenance, and repairs with senior staff or technicians.
Assist in pre/post season parts and supply inventories.
Train Refrigeration Assistants in day-to-day activities.
Pursue qualification and certification as a Refrigeration Technician.
