Job summary

Publix Super Markets is looking for a Refrigeration Technician in Deerfield Beach, Florida. In this role, you will maintain ammonia refrigeration systems to ensure a climate-controlled environment in our facilities. You will perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment.

The ideal candidate will have experience using hand tools, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lift at least 65 pounds. Publix offers comprehensive benefits, including stock ownership and health plans.

Qualifications

• Be at least 20 years old.
• Have a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to obtain EPA Section 608 certification.
• Ability to safely replace mechanical and electrical components.
• Must comply with OSHA and Publix safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and operate industrial refrigeration systems.
• Conduct daily temperature and humidity observations.
• Perform predictive and preventative maintenance procedures.
• Train entry-level refrigeration technicians.
• Participate in improvement activities for HVAC and refrigeration systems.

Skills
