Job summary

Sigma Foods is seeking a Refrigeration Technician to maintain and repair industrial refrigeration systems, including ammonia-based setups, and related equipment across the plant.

The role emphasizes troubleshooting, safety compliance, and supporting improvements to efficiency and output. A boiler license and Level 1 certification are required, with the ability to obtain Level 2, and a preference for bilingual English/Spanish communication.

Qualifications

• Six months of refrigeration experience in an ammonia manufacturing environment.
• Boiler license and Level 1 certification; ability to obtain Level 2.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair industrial refrigeration systems and related equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance including filters, lubrication, bearings, and belts.
• Modify and troubleshoot refrigeration systems and controls.
• Fabricate sheet metal components and ductwork.
• Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance.
• Maintain inventory and support continuous improvement.
