Job summary

Publix Super Markets in Dacula, Georgia, is seeking a Refrigeration Technician to service ammonia refrigeration systems in our facilities. The Technician will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical equipment.

This role requires at least 18 years of age and ability to lift up to 65 pounds. Benefits include employee stock ownership plan, 401(k), and paid time off. Candidates must be able to obtain EPA certification and conform to safety standards.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 65 pounds.
• Ability to conform to all OSHA, PSM, HAZMAT, and Publix safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining and operating Industrial Refrigeration systems.
• Conducting daily observations of temperatures and humidity levels.
• Participating in improvement activities to enhance systems.

Skills

Ability to obtain EPA Section 608 certification

Experience using hand tools

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Basic computer skills using Microsoft Office

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent
