Job summary

Qualifications

• At least two years in a refrigeration or boiler room preferred.
• Operator 1 and Operator 2 preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of industrial maintenance and electrical functions.
• Able to read and write in English.
• Able to follow and implement safety rules.
• Able to use a computer for engine room functions and email.
• SCBA certification for Haz-Mat is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and complete preventive maintenance paperwork and work orders.
• Maintain a log book of breakdowns and corrective actions.
• Work weekends and holidays as required.
• Schedule shutdowns of equipment without disrupting production.
• Troubleshoot equipment mechanically and electrically.
• Use time effectively to minimize downtime and repairs.
• Follow lockout-tagout procedures for safety.
• Be a team player and seek guidance when needed.
• Be on call and able to work alone when required.
• Receive and follow training on safety procedures.
• Order materials and parts for stock or repairs.
• Maintain clean mechanical rooms at all times.
• Work with outside vendors and technicians professionally.
• Assist maintenance technicians with troubleshooting and repairs.
