Job summary

NAVY EXCHANGE SERVICE COMMAND (NEXCOM) in Norfolk, VA seeks an experienced HVAC refrigeration technician to install, repair, and maintain large refrigeration systems in industrial and domestic settings.

Responsibilities include diagnostics of control devices, installation of split HV AC systems, and maintenance of cold storage equipment; current Universal Technician Certification is required.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience installing, repairing, maintaining, and servicing industrial and domestic reach-in and walk-in refrigerators.
• Experience installing split HVAC systems, walk-in refrigerators/freezers, and cold storage equipment.
• Current Universal Technician Certification.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair thermostats, pressure stats, humidistats, relays and other control devices; service motors, belts, and components; test for leaks.
• Install, repair and maintain reach-in and walk-in units, cold rooms, and related equipment in varied environments.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
