OTC Industrial Technologies in Baton Rouge is seeking an Industrial Pump Mechanic with training provided to join our service team. You will disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble pumps, compressors, and related equipment while following technical drawings and OEM specifications. A strong mechanical background and willingness to learn are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years mechanical or related experience.
• Proficient with micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators.
• Understanding of fits, tolerances, and alignment procedures.
• Familiar with API, ANSI, and OEM standards for rotating equipment.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties assigned under the direction of Shop Manager to ensure the team is aligned to the goals and objectives for the team for each day.
• Perform and oversee the disassembly, inspection, repair, and reassembly of pumps, compressors, turbines, gearboxes, and related rotating equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and lead root cause analysis on equipment failures.
• Interpret technical drawings, OEM manuals, and repair specifications.
• Ensure proper documentation of repair findings, measurements, tolerances, and parts used.
• Represent OTC professionally and build strong customer relationships.
• Follow safety protocols and stay current through ongoing training.
• Handle emergency service calls with speed and precision to keep operations moving.
• Be flexible and ready to take on additional responsibilities as needed.
