Job summary

OTC Industrial Technologies in Baton Rouge is seeking a reliable Mechanic to service pumps, compressors, turbines, gearboxes, and related rotating equipment. This full-time role offers competitive pay and growth opportunities.

You will inspect, dismantle, repair, reassemble, and document findings and tolerances, while following safety protocols. Requirements: high school diploma or GED and 2+ years of mechanical experience.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of mechanical or related experience.
• Familiar with mechanical fits, tolerances, and alignment procedures.
• Familiar with API, ANSI, and OEM standards related to rotating equipment.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties under the direction of Shop Manager to align the team to daily goals.
• Disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble pumps, compressors, turbines, gearboxes, and related rotating equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and lead root cause analysis.
• Interpret drawings, OEM manuals, and repair specifications.
• Document repair findings, measurements, tolerances, and parts used.
• Represent OTC professionally and build customer relationships.
• Follow safety protocols and participate in ongoing training.
• Handle emergency service calls and stay adaptable.
