Job summary

HITT Contracting Inc. is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for an industrial project in Hurt, VA. The APM will gather, evaluate, and coordinate information to keep the project on schedule, on budget, and to the required quality, supporting a multi-site industrial platform.

The role sits within HITT's Industrial group, offering exposure to large-scale construction, renovations, and fit-outs with per diem for the duration of the project and growth opportunities within the team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; four-year degree in construction/engineering/business preferred.
• 2–5 years of commercial or industrial construction experience.
• Ability to work out of town for the assignment with per diem provided.
• Strong communication, leadership potential, and teamwork abilities.
• Proficiency with MS Office, ProCore, Primavera P6, Adobe, BlueBeam, and JD Edwards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain adherence to safety standards.
• Ensure required documentation is filed.
• Assist in creating and managing project budgets.
• Develop pre-construction RFP package.
• Assist in conducting project meetings and formulating owner reports.
• Establish job processes (RFIs, submittals, pay applications) and approve pay applications.
• Update project schedule and supervise quality control and logistics.
• Assist in closeout and collaborate with site operations.
