Job summary

Henderson Scott US is seeking a Project Manager in Houston to lead complex, ground-up industrial construction projects from concept to completion. You will coordinate design, permitting, scheduling, budgeting, and procurement while building relationships with clients, subcontractors, and project teams.

The role is hybrid, requiring ownership, proactive decision-making, and collaboration with senior leadership, municipalities, and field teams to deliver on time, within budget, and safely.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management experience within commercial and/or industrial construction.
• Experience delivering ground-up commercial or industrial construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of permitting, contracts, drawings, specs, scheduling, and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage ground-up industrial construction projects from pre-construction through closeout.
• Coordinate design development, site planning, and pre-construction activities.
• Lead project scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and execution efforts.
• Partner with Superintendents, consultants, engineers, and subcontractors to maintain momentum.
• Review and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, contracts, and project documentation.
• Facilitate project meetings and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
• Identify project risks and drive issue resolution.
• Independently manage permitting and entitlement processes with municipalities.
• Coordinate with design teams to ensure permits are submitted on schedule.
