Job summary

This hands-on role partners with operations, maintenance, contractors, and leadership to deliver safe, on-time, on-budget results.

The successful candidate will drive project scopes, budgets, and schedules; develop procedures; and support commissioning and operational readiness.

Qualifications

• ABET/EAC-accredited bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Manage capital and expense projects from initiation through commissioning and closeout.
• Lead hands-on engineering projects from technical development and planning through installation and execution on the production floor.
• Develop project scopes, specifications, schedules and WBS, budgets, resource plans, communication plans, and change management plans.
• Build and lead cross-functional project teams.
• Monitor project performance against schedules and budgets and provide updates to stakeholders and leadership.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks throughout the lifecycle.
• Provide hands-on troubleshooting and technical direction to maintenance, operations, contractors, and other partners.
• Develop standard operating procedures and oversee related training.
• Support commissioning activities for new equipment and processes.
• Drive departmental performance against project metrics; coordinate activities across departments and contractors.
• Incorporate safety into project planning and execution.
• Manage procurement activities and evaluate bids.
