Job summary

Hussey Copper is seeking a Project Engineer in Leetsdale, PA to plan, coordinate, and execute engineering and capital projects from conception through completion. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering from an ABET/EAC-accredited university.
• 7-10 years of project management experience within a heavy industrial manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated experience developing and leading capital projects, equipment installations, and implementation of new manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage capital and expense projects from initiation through commissioning and closeout.
• Lead hands-on engineering projects from technical development and planning through installation and execution on the production floor.
• Develop project scopes, specifications, schedules and work breakdown structures (WBS), budgets, resource plans, communication plans, and change management plans.
• Build and lead high-performing cross-functional project teams.
• Monitor project performance against schedules and budgets and provide updates to stakeholders and executive leadership.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks throughout the lifecycle.
• Provide hands-on troubleshooting and technical direction to maintenance, operations, contractors, and other project partners as needed.
• Develop standard operating procedures for operations and maintenance as part of operational readiness planning.
• Support formal operational readiness and commissioning activities for new equipment and processes.
• Drive departmental performance against key project metrics, including on-time delivery, budget performance, and ROI.
