Job summary

MMR Group in Austin, TX seeks a Project Engineer to manage project engineering workflows, including RFIs, submittals, document control, and coordination with construction and quality teams. The responsibilities include tracking scope changes, assisting with procurement, and building installation work packages.

You'll coordinate with multiple teams to generate weekly/monthly reports on project status and financials while supporting turnover, closeout documentation, and change management.

Qualifications

• BS in Construction Management or related field.
• Experience in electrical and instrumentation construction.
• Industrial construction experience preferred.
• Knowledge in estimating, scheduling, and purchasing.
• Ability to read electrical drawings.
• MS Office proficiency.
• Primavera P6 preferred.
• Read CPM schedules and identify critical paths.
• Ability to work independently with good judgment.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage RFIs, submittals, and design clarifications.
• Maintain document control and tracking logs.
• Support procurement and material expediting.
• Coordinate drawings revisions and engineering communications.
• Track scope changes and assist with change documentation.
• Support turnover and closeout documentation.
• Build and maintain installation work packages.
• Coordinate with construction, quality, and safety for reports.
• Ensure field engineers perform installation audits and updates.
• Assist superintendents and logistics with BOMs.
