Job summary

MMR Group, Inc. is seeking a Field Engineer based in Childress, TX to support field installation activities. Responsibilities include walkdowns, layout verification, resolving constructability issues, inspections support, and maintaining as-built documentation.

You will track progress, coordinate with foremen, and report constraints that impact productivity. The role requires a BS in Construction Management (or related field) and 2–4 years of electrical knowledge, with proficiency in reading

Qualifications

• BS in Construction Management or related field.
• 2-4 years in an electrical company and/or electrical knowledge.
• Ability to read and understand electrical drawing packages and specifications.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize, organize, problem solve, and exercise good judgement with minimal supervision.
• Must have basic knowledge in estimating and controls.
• Working knowledge of MS Office software.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively under time pressure and/or deadline.

Responsibilities

• Relay RFIs, submittals, and design clarifications to frontline supervisors.
• Perform layout verification and field walkdowns inclusive of site surveying.
• Identify and resolve constructability issues and design interpretation.
• Support quality inspections and testing by providing list of completed tag items for quality inspections.
• Maintain as-built documentation.
• Review daily installation progress and quantity reports generated by foreman.
• Coordinate directly with foremen and supervisors.
• Perform installation audits and tracking updates for accurate client reporting.
• Work with Construction Managements and Superintendents to provide constraints reports impacting productivity.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor and upper management

Pay: $40-$44/hour based on experience
Per Diem: $1,000/week

Work Schedule: 7/10s with alternate week rotation
