Job summary

BW Design Group, part of Barry-Wehmiller, is seeking a Project Manager to join our Architecture/Engineering Practice. You will collaborate with engineers, architects, designers and other professionals on multi-discipline teams to deliver high-quality processing solutions for manufacturing clients.

You will lead design from concept through detail design, ensure compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices, and support on-site testing, commissioning and qualification.

Qualifications

• At least five years of industrial process system engineering/design experience.
• Strong knowledge of P&IDs, equipment GA drawings, piping plans, BOMs.
• Familiarity with process control methodologies and instrumentation.
• Understanding of project management fundamentals.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and teamwork.
• Strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement processing systems for food and beverage, life sciences, personal care, and tech industries.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, designers and other professionals on multi-discipline teams.
• Lead process system engineering from concept to final design phases.
• Ensure systems align with current Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Coordinate with OEMs/vendors for equipment sizing and selection.
• Direct CAD designers and coordinate design across disciplines.
• Develop project scopes, prepare specs and proposals.
• Respond to RFIs and review submittals during pre-construction and construction.
• Visit job sites to verify installation aligns with drawings and intent.
• Provide on-site support during testing, startup, commissioning, qualification.
• Stay current on new technologies and GMPs.
• Participate in temporary on-site staffing for local clients.
• Make daily impact with your skills, strengthening client relationships.
