Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands in Rocky Mount, VA is seeking a Process Engineer/Industrial Engineer to improve labor utilization, cycle times, ergonomics and flow on the Model Line.

You will work with Operations to identify losses, develop engineered solutions, validate improvements and establish sustainable standards, with opportunities to lead Kaizen events and productivity gains across the line.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field or equivalent manufacturing/industrial engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct time studies, work-element observations and work measurement.
• Establish cycle-time, labor and capacity baselines.
• Calculate takt time, capacity, labor requirements and production constraints.
• Develop Yamazumi/work-balance analyses.
• Identify bottlenecks, workload imbalance and capacity constraints.
• Support development and validation of standard work.
• Analyze operator walking, reaching and motion.
• Evaluate layouts and future-state process flows.
• Support material flow analysis including routes, buffers and capacity.
• Partner with Finance to validate productivity, labor, overtime, inventory and other measurable benefits.
• Develop reporting and measurement systems that make performance and improvement sustainable.
