Job summary

Gentex Corporation is seeking an Industrial Engineer II to design, develop, test, and evaluate integrated systems for managing industrial production processes across multiple areas, including quality control, inventory, and cost analysis. You will leverage lean practices to optimize standard work and changeover while supporting new product launches into production.

Responsibilities include improving process stability with MES/Oracle data, maintaining BOMs and routings, and driving cost

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD and Oracle ERP.
Ability to accommodate a work schedule suitable for production needs and occasional travel.
1+ years of manufacturing experience.
1+ years of prior experience as an Industrial Engineer.

Responsibilities

Support lean practices such as standard work and changeover.
Create resource management and cost optimization plan.
Assist launch teams to integrate new products into production.
Develop and implement new process designs.
Improve process stability using MES/Oracle data and cycle times.
Maintain inventory accuracy through BOMs, routings, MES/Oracle transactions, and physical cycle counts.
Own document control through BOMs, control plans, FMEA, and process flow charts.
Identify opportunities for improvement with Operations to resolve quality issues and optimize workstation layouts.
