Job summary

Vanguard Durst Digital Printing Systems is seeking a Service Technician to install and service our printers, ensuring customer delight and ongoing product improvements. You will train customers, diagnose and repair issues, and support remote and on-site service across the USA and Canada.

The role requires heavy equipment maintenance experience, strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, excellent communication, and willingness to travel up to 75% with occasional weekend work.

Qualifications

• Heavy, industrial equipment maintenance knowledge/experience.
• Installation/support experience onsite as field tech/engineer.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% across USA and Canada; weekend work may be required.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and dexterity; electrical/electronic troubleshooting.
• Proficient computer skills; valid driver's license; able to pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all printers are properly installed and operational.
• Train Vanguard customers on how to operate our printers.
• Diagnose, repair and solve issues with our printers via remote support or onsite service.
• Support sales activities by passing information/opportunities to Sales.
• Provide remote support for our customer service 1-800 line.
• Document/Record service calls including materials and resolutions in our software (Salesforce) system.
