Job summary

AVL USA INC in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Preventative Maintenance Technician responsible for scheduled PMs on manufacturing equipment and facility systems to keep operations safe, reliable, and efficient. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical diploma, apprenticeship, or trade certification preferred.
• 2+ years of preventative maintenance experience in manufacturing/industrial environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment and facility systems.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic electrical systems.
• Complete lubrication, adjustments, calibration checks, belt changes, and filter replacements.
• Identify potential equipment failures and communicate corrective actions to maintenance leadership.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and support troubleshooting efforts.
• Maintain maintenance logs, work orders, and PM documentation in CMMS.
• Assist with installation, setup, and commissioning of new equipment.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on equipment reliability and uptime.
• Ensure all maintenance work complies with safety procedures, LOTO, and company policies.
• Keep maintenance areas clean and organized; manage tools and parts inventory.
• Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to minimize downtime.
• Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Support facility maintenance activities as needed.
