Loudoun Water has an immediate opening for an Industrial Pretreatment Technician at the Broad Run Water Reclamation Facility (BRWRF). The purpose of the pretreatment team is to protect POTW infrastructure from damage or disruptions caused by industrial wastewater, prevent pass-through of pollutants that cannot be treated, reduce hazardous, toxic or conventional pollutants at the source to safeguard treatment plant personnel, the public and the environment from harmful industrial/commercial discharges, and improve opportunities for reuse.
We are seeking a motivated, action-oriented individual that takes initiative, is enthusiastic, possesses a strong attention to detail and can maintain clear, organized records. Must be willing to learn and interpret various environmental regulations and apply them appropriately in real-world scenarios. Individuals must be capable of working independently and collaboratively with a team. Individuals must be technically skilled with various monitoring equipment, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair as needed. Position requires the ability to lift 40 pounds.
Minimum requirements: High school diploma or GED preferably including basic mathematics and science courses. Candidates must have a valid driver’s license. Candidates with current VA Wastewater licenses of all classes are strongly encouraged to apply.
Salary Range: $40,000 - $60,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience. Position will remain open until filled. EOE
