Job summary

The Jamar Company is seeking an experienced Industrial Preconstruction Project Manager to help shape complex projects before work begins. You will develop accurate estimates, evaluate risk, and create a clear path from concept to execution, collaborating with clients, engineers, and vendors in a fast-paced environment.

• Three years or more estimating experience with industrial mechanical systems, drawings, specs.
• Two-year degree in Mechanical or CAD Drafting or related field OR five years+ industrial construction experience.
• Proficient with MS Office and industry estimating software; able to learn new tools quickly.
• Strong organizational and time management skills; able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.

At a Glance

• Pay: $69,400–$104,000 annual salary; dependent on relevant knowledge, skills, training, experience, and market conditions.
• Employment Type: Full-Time, Exempt
• Location: On-Site/Duluth, MN
• Required Experience: Two-year degree plus 3+ years OR 5+ years
• Schedule: Standard full-time schedule. Work hours may occasionally vary to support project deadlines, workload, and operational requirements.
• Benefits Start: First of the month following 20 calendar days from date of hire.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for an experienced preconstruction professional who understands industrial mechanical construction and can turn complex project information into accurate, well‑supported estimates and proposals.

Required Qualifications

• Three (3) years or more of estimating experience with a thorough understanding of industrial mechanical systems, equipment, drawings, specifications, and techniques.
• Two-year degree in Mechanical or CAD Drafting, Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or closely related field of study OR five (5) years or more of industrial construction experience.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite and industry‑related estimating software, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new tools.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and consistently meet deadlines.
• Previous project management experience is strongly preferred.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
