Job summary

The Jamar Company in Minnesota is seeking an experienced Industrial Estimator/Project Manager to inform and shape complex projects from concept to execution. You’ll develop accurate estimates, review drawings, and collaborate with clients, engineers, and vendors to deliver value.

You will manage multiple projects, assess risk, and contribute to continuous improvement while enjoying a full-time exempt role with a competitive salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• Three years or more of estimating experience with industrial mechanical systems, drawings, specs, and techniques.
• Two-year degree in Mechanical or CAD Drafting, Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or five years or more of industrial construction experience.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite and industry‑related estimating software; able to learn new tools quickly.
• Strong organizational and time management skills; able to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Previous project management experience is strongly preferred.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.

• Negotiate and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing to identify the best overall value.
• Maintain accurate estimating data and documentation while supporting a smooth project handoff.

At a Glance

• Pay: $69,400-$104,000 annual salary; dependent on relevant knowledge, skills, training, experience, and market conditions.
• Employment Type: Full-Time, Exempt
• Required Experience: Two-year degree plus 3+ years OR 5+ years
• Schedule: Standard full-time schedule. Work hours may occasionally vary to support project deadlines, workload, and operational requirements.
• Benefits Start: First of the month following 20 calendar days from date of hire.

What We're Looking For

We’re looking for an experienced estimating professional who understands industrial mechanical construction and can turn complex project information into accurate, well-supported estimates and proposals.

• Required Qualifications
• Three (3) years or more of estimating experience with a thorough understanding of industrial mechanical systems, equipment, drawings, specifications, and techniques.
• Two-year degree in Mechanical or CAD Drafting, Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or closely related field of study OR five (5) years or more of industrial construction experience.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite and industry‑related estimating software, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new tools.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and consistently meet deadlines.
• Previous project management experience is strongly preferred.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
