Job summary

Baker Hughes Company is seeking an Electrical Controls Engineer to drive design and development of power converters, inverters, gate drivers, and control algorithms for industrial VSDs. You will work with multidisciplinary teams to deliver robust, efficient drive systems for demanding industrial applications.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Strong experience in power electronics design including AC-DC and DC-AC conversion.
• Experience developing gate drivers, fault detection, and protection schemes.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts and influence stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Define and validate power converter and inverter architectures for industrial applications.
• Lead analytical and design activities using power electronics methodologies.
• Develop gate driver designs for performance and reliability.
• Create fault detection, protection, and signaling schemes for diagnostics.
• Support development of advanced power control algorithms for VSDs.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to validate power section performance.
