Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • 6+ years total plumbing experience or 8 years with no formal training.
  • Backflow Tester Certification must be obtained within 6 months of employment.
  • Commitment to working safely and adhering to safety guidelines.
  • Knowledge of commercial/industrial plumbing systems, fire sprinkler and safety practices.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair plumbing and piping systems.
  • Must have a valid NYS Driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance, installation, and repair of piping, plumbing, and tubing systems and components.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain mechanical/piping and tubing systems and their components.
  • Read and interpret drawings and sketches proficiently.
  • Review scope with customers and provide status updates to project managers.
  • Maintain housekeeping and safety compliance in lab environments.
  • Follow safety procedures when working in radiological areas.
