Job summary

Ardagh Metal Packaging is seeking a Backend Maintainer-like technician for on-site maintenance in Winston-Salem, NC. You will set up and repair backend-related equipment, perform changeovers, and ensure production quality through preventive maintenance.

You must have basic PLC and electrical knowledge, a high school diploma, and a minimum of two years of mechanical experience. Overtime and safety training are part of the role.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2 years previous mechanical experience.
• Ability to pass the Mechanical Aptitude test at 70% or higher.
• Familiar with Personal Protective Equipment.
• Familiar with proper handling of chemicals/solvents.
• Experience working with PLC controls and a basic electrical knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Understands and complies with safety SOPs and work instructions (LockoutTagout, Chemical Handling, Machine Guarding, etc.).
• Check schedule to determine changeover needs or if overhaul is required.
• Check machines and analyze mechanical or operational issues.
• Plan corrective actions to maintain quality and production.
• Make changeovers or conversions and test product quality.
• Replace worn parts and retime machine actions.
• Instruct, train and certify other operators and mechanics.
• Perform preventative maintenance inspections and work orders.
• Analyze spoilage causes and notify supervisor of recurring issues.
