Job summary

Chemtrade is seeking an Operator-Breaker in Toledo, OH. In this role, you'll perform general plant operations, including loading and unloading tank trucks and railcars, operating valves, and troubleshooting equipment. A high school diploma or GED is required, along with relevant experience in a plant environment. The position emphasizes safety adherence and the ability to work outside in various environmental conditions, supporting Chemtrade’s commitment to employee wellness and inclusion.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• Relevant experience in a plant environment performing similar duties is preferred.
• Ability to use computer effectively, Microsoft programs, maintenance management system, e-mail, etc.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
• Ability to work outside in changing temperatures while wearing PPE.

Responsibilities

• Perform operations including loading/unloading trucks and railcars, connecting hoses, and operating plant equipment.
• Operate mobile equipment, including Backhoe and Forklifts.
• Conduct cleaning and maintenance tasks within the plant.
• Adhere to plant safety rules and attend required physical exams.
