Smart Care is seeking a reliable pipe fitter to plan, install, and maintain piping systems in industrial and commercial properties. The role involves reviewing blueprints, planning installations, and ensuring systems meet specifications and safety standards.

You should have welding experience, strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work with pipes handling hazardous chemicals and liquids.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Trade school or apprenticeship completed.
• Meet state licensure requirements.
• Proven experience as a Pipe Fitter.
• Excellent mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good communication and managerial skills.
• Physical dexterity.

Responsibilities

• Inspect the workplace, clear obstructions and prepare materials and equipment.
• Study blueprints and plan pipe systems and related equipment installations.
• Use a variety of tools to modify pipes to specifications.
• Measure and mark pipes for cutting and threading.
• Assemble and weld pipe components and systems.
• Secure pipes to walls and fixtures with brackets, clamps, and welding equipment.
• Order required materials such as pipes, hangars, brackets, hydraulic cylinders, etc.
• Repair and maintain pipe systems, supports, and related equipment.
• Clear pipe systems of obstructions and test their functionality.
• Comply with relevant codes and regulatory standards.
