Job summary

Matrix Service in Washington state seeks a skilled pipefitter to lay out, install, maintain and repair all types of piping systems in maintenance, turnaround, and construction projects. The role requires high proficiency in industrial environments and strict safety adherence.

Responsibilities include interpreting drawings, preparing pipework, welding prep, assembling components, and performing quality checks.

Qualifications

• Minimum of four (4) years or more in refinery maintenance/turnaround/or construction experience.
• General knowledge of basic hand tools.
• Must pass the Pipefitter Skills Test at or above 70% or complete the NCCER certification for your craft.
• Complete Company's Safety training, Process Safety Management training and Client / Site specific training.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain an active status within the approved drug testing program.
• Must pass background check.
• TWIC & HHFT card.
• Verification of 8,000 craft related hours. Graduated journeyperson status preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lays out, installs, maintains, and repairs piping systems.
• Interprets drawings and sketches; plans details and selects materials.
• Sets up for welding or special joints and assembles components.
• Performs quality control and verifies adherence to standards.
• Identifies safety hazards and takes corrective action.
• Communicates with peers and QA/QC personnel.
